Sulfur is a powder, and sold by the ounce.
Sulfur Powder is also sometimes referred to as a sulfur flour and it is of course ground from much larger sulfur mineral rocks or boulders from a sulfur mine usually located in China. Although sulfur is mostly imported from china, it is also found around hot springs, volcanoes and volcanic activity. Sulfur is imported in many different forms for everyday use.
Sulfur is a fine powder much like baby powder, its color is a bright yellow, and it has a very pungent odor. When Sulfur is burned is provides a rotten egg scent that is an agitent to the nose and lungs (mucus membranes). If you are hyper sensitive to smells, you will want to use this in an open or well ventilated area only.
Sulfur is related to the element of Fire, and because it is a fire stone, this also associates
it with the Sun and Saturn.
Sulfur is used in exorcism and protection as well as banishment spells, and incantations. Be aware that while these spells are used for good, the sulfur may brew up negative spirits or energy when in use because it is so powerful.
Sulfur burns very quickly with a brilliant blue flame and the famous sulfur smell spreads quickly. Sulfur is used for many things other than ritual such as matches, black powder and explosives. It is also used widely as a fumigant for fruit crops or winery's.

In magic, sulphur is used in exorcism and protection spells. Sulphur powder is used magically in incense for hex breaking, protection, fire magick, banishing, counter magical, exorcism, and even necromancy. Sulfur Powder is also used in ritual baths and floor washes.
Sulfur is also spelled as sulphur. While Sulfur 'fur' is the common spelling in the US, Sulphur 'phur' is the common spelling for the UK and Europe.

Usage Example:
Spiritual Fire Dance, or Lughs Fire Dance. Many have used sulfur powder during their fire dances to bring drama and flair to their ritual. As stated above, the bright blue fire burns quickly when sprinkled on charcoal. When you wish to add flair, simply sprinkle a small amount to the ambers, and watch the fire quickly burst forward and of course the result is also a burst of smoke. Don't forget to avoid over usage as it is a pungent odor. Be careful and do not use this without special guidance or prior practice in a open area away from your home or others that may inhale the fumes.
