SECURE TRANSACTIONS

Your personal information such as your name, address, phone number and eMail address is stored on The Magick Moon's dedicated servers which are located in the United States. Procedural and technical safeguards are in use to protect your personal information against loss or theft as well as unauthorized access and disclosure to protect your privacy including data encryption, "firewall's" and Secure Socket Layers. All data is treated as an asset that must be protected against loss and unauthorized access. Various security techniques are employed to protect such data from unauthorized access by users inside and outside the company. However, "perfect security" does not exist on the Internet so we also employ both internal and external independent scanning technologies to ensure we are safe and protected against any potential external threats.

As an additional level of security, absolutely no customer credit card information is set, stored or maintained on our dedicated servers. Once used to place an order, your credit card information is only used for that specific order, seen and processed by only our credit card processor, and no information from that transaction is saved on our servers.

SSL ENCRYPTION

The Magick Moon's on-line ordering is secure, stringent security measures are followed to protect your financial and personal information. Using 2048 bit industry standard SSL Certificate, one of the highest levels of encryption technology available, Your data is "scrambled" to prevent unauthorized access. Your browser may allow a minimum of 256 bit encryption which is the same level of encryption used by all major banks (considered military-strength encryption). As part of our security commitment to you, Firewalls are used, and an array of other more sophisticated techniques are employed to ensure the highest level of security.

You can tell that you are in a secure environment when the key at the bottom left of the page is complete. When the key is complete, the information is encrypted and cannot be accessed by anyone else. If your browser does not support secure transactions, any information that you send may be viewed by others. Your local service provider can help you determine which browser would best suit your needs. Our efforts to make sure that your on-line transactions are secure explains our ability to complete online transactions without a single theft of a customer's credit card number. You can feel just as confident giving out credit card information on-line as you do on the phone, or anywhere else you use a credit card.

Here is how to determine if a company is reputable and secure for credit card processing:

Companies that have secure servers for credit card processing usually have secure server company banners on display. This banner will list the company’s name from which the secure server certificate has been purchased. You can go to that companies web site and verify their security measures and the methods used for security for eCommerce. Our security certification is identity assured up to $250,000.00, and can be verified at any time by hovering your mouse over the Comodo Security Seal.

Another way to verify a secure server or information field is in the address (or URL) field, the "http" will change to "https" - the "s" stands for secure. In addition, there will be either a closed padlock or a complete key on the top and bottom of your browser window . The padlock or key will also be highlighted. If the page is not secure, the key will be broken in half and the padlock will be open . If you order online from The Magick Moon, you will notice these items when you have logged into our store and or it comes time to input your credit card information. Never order online from a site that is not secure and don't send your credit card info over the eMail.

All of your credit card details are encrypted with a 2048 bit SSL which utilizes 128/256 bit encryption (128 bit minimum - browser dependant) when they are sent over the Internet and are only decrypted when they reach our payment processor. The Magick Moon wants you to feel safe and secure when shopping with us. When you are at our site, you should feel as safe as if you were at The Magick Moon in person.

CONTROL OF YOUR PASSWORD

You are responsible for all actions taken with your User ID and password, including fees charged to your account. Therefore it is not recommended that you disclose your Magick Moon password to any third parties. If you choose to share your User ID and password or your personal information with third parties, you are responsible for all actions taken with your account and therefore you should review that third party's privacy policy. If you lose control of your password, you may lose substantial control over your personal information and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on your behalf. Therefore, if your password has been compromised for any reason, you should immediately change your password as detailed in “Accessing, Reviewing and Changing Your Personal Information” below.

PASSWORD PROTECTION

Customer support would like to take this opportunity to remind you of steps that you can take to protect your password:
· Make sure your Magick Moon password differs from your eMail account's password.
· Use the same precautions for your eMail account that you use on your Magick Moon account and carefully protect both.
· Choose a password other than your Magick Moon password when signing up on other websites.
· Do not share your Magick Moon password or your eMail address password with others.
· Review the privacy policies of third parties that offer you services to determine how your information will be protected.

If you believe that someone has obtained your password, change it by following these steps:
1. Click the "log in" link at the top right of any Magick Moon store page.
2. After you have logged into The Magick Moon store, click the "Modify Profile " link under the "View Cart", “Check Out” and “Wish List” headings located in the upper right hand column.
3. From here you can change and modify your personal information you deem necessary.

CHANGING YOUR USER ID

Your User ID is the unique nickname you choose for signing in when you first register at The Magick Moon. If you decide to change your User ID at any time:

· The change will appear immediately.
· The Magick Moon will automatically attach your important account information to your new User ID.

CREDIT CARDS

Your card once used for placing an order will go through multiple validation checks to verify the true and actual card holder is in fact the person using it for purchasing products. If any of the validations fail, you will be notified immediately if not at the time of order submission.

Once orders have been processed, there is a second level of verification and validation the card and card holder must pass, and that is a manual process. Upon completion of the manual validation process, the manual validation results will be compared to the automatic validation results, and if there are any variances, the order may still be failed or declined.

Manual validation and cross inspection is completed to ensure automated system checks were not bypassed and have been successfully completed. Upon final manual inspection and comparison to automated system checks and a final value attached to the transaction will be applied. Once a transaction has a value appended to it, and that value is above or below a certain set point, it will be in a pass or fail situation. Orders will be approved or declined automatically according to the final values.

The numerical value is a fraud determination completed by sophisticated software, and all orders will be subjected to screening at one point or the other during the order process. Within this process, there is also and automated blocking mechanism that will block any computer from making more order attempts if it is deemed a fraudulent order submission.

If you are blocked from using our servers, an individual IP can only be removed manually by server administrator, and a phone call will be required to get that particular computers unblocked.

SCAN ALERT

Scan Alert Hacker proof hardening is in place and scans of our servers are constantly being completed to ensure proper security and server hardening has been completed. Constant scans are being completed by the outside party to ensure total compliance, and results are posted on our site as HACKER SAFE with a current date.

NOTE: Recently McAfee Security Corp. purchased and merged with HackerSafe and the secure tag is now shown as McAfee SECURE with the current date and time stamp.
