They can originate from about 150 species of deciduous and semi-evergreen shrubs and climbers. They all produce flowers of a variety of colors which bloom out of rose hips.

Usage Example:
Rose Water:
Put 1 cup fresh rose petals or ½ cup dried in a glass bowl.
Pour 2 cups boiling water over contents of bowl.
Cover the bowl and allow to steep for about 20 minutes.
Strain through a jelly bag or cheesecloth.
Transfer to bottles with lids.
Use within 1 week or add 1 tablespoon to stretch to 3-4 weeks.
