Palm Reading for Beginners Find Your Future in the Palm of Your Hand by Richard Webster.
Just imagine that you sit down at a bare table. You have no crystal balls, Tarot cards, runes, or any other tools. One by one, people come up to you and you amaze them with your knowledge of who they are their hopes, goals, and desires and your predictions for change in their lives. Sound amazing? You can do it with a little practice and Richard Webster's Palm Reading for Beginners.
Just as a bit of DNA can tell you volumes about a person, so, too, can looking at a person's palms tell you about his or her past, present and future. Palm reading actually entails examining the entire hand. A good palmist will use the flexibility and the shape of the hand and fingers as well as the famous lines to interpret for a person. Such a palm reader will also look at everything from marks on the hand to skin color, and even if there is any hair on the back of the hand to give a reading. You can be that palmist.
There are three things that really set this book apart. First, it has fifty clear illustrations that indicate all of the lines and shapes and where you'll find them on the hand. Second, this book goes into timing, giving you the ability to determine when important events happened in the past and when they will happen in the future. And third, using actual examples, Webster shows you how to put all of the separate items of information together to give a fascinating, in-depth reading.
If you have ever stared at your hand, wondering if those lines had any meaning, this book explains it all. If you have ever been amazed at the ability of a good palmist and wanted to be able to read palms, too, this book will get you started. And if you want to be able to add even more features to the readings you already give, this book is a must.

Library Review: Palm Reading for Beginners: Find Your Future in the Palm of Your Hand
This is an excellent book for the novice as it covers all one needs to know to get started in palmistry. Richard Webster, the author of Revealing Hands, includes different methods of reading palms, some history of the art, how to practice and refine your skills, techniques for making palm prints, sample readings, and suggestions for record-keeping. The illustrations are clear, and Webster's explanations are simple to follow. With his book and my hand, I was able to match his descriptions to what I saw in my own palm.
In addition to ideas about doing long and short readings, he describes the whole hand, the major and minor lines, timing on the hand, the fingers, the mounts, the quadrangle, marks, and skin ridge patterns. I had no idea before reading this book that palmistry involved anything other than the lines on one's hand. The glossary helped me with terms I did not know and the suggested reading list is great for additional information. There is an index, and the list of illustrations is helpful for quickly finding specific pictures.
A highly recommended purchase for public libraries and any institution with new age or self-help collections. This book would also be a good addition to a young adult section.

Publisher Review: Palm Reading for Beginners: Find Your Future in the Palm of Your Hand
In my home I have a large collection of books. Maybe you have a large collection, too. Perhaps you have a few books that are your favorites and you reread them every year or two. But if you have favorites, why read others? The answer, of course, is so that you can understand and experience new things. Maybe you'll find a new favorite, too.
For many decades I have worked with astrology. It's my favorite. But I have also worked with the Tarot, runes, and other divinatory systems. In recent years, palmistry seems to have been overlooked by most readers. Perhaps they think that clients won't see the magick unless there are mystic tools on the table.
I think this is shortsighted. Palmistry can be a wonderful addition to your divinatory skills and can be used at a moment's notice. And one of the best introductions to this ancient art is Richard Webster's Palm Reading for Beginners.
One of the most famous palmists of all time was Count Louis Hamon who used the name "Cheiro." He lived into the 20th century and looked a bit like Franklin D. Roosevelt. Because of his amazing skills he was in demand by famous personalities all over the world and he hobnobbed with them all.
Now, I can't guarantee you'll become as famous as Cheiro, but I can assure you that with this book you will learn how to read palms. You'll learn the meaning of the shape of the hand and all the lines. You'll be able to interpret the all of the major and minor lines, the phalanges (sections of fingers) and the nine mounts on the palm. The book also shows how you can blend all of the information into a coherent, inviting, and exciting reading.
So whether you want to learn your first method of divination or want to add to what you already know, this is a book you should study and use.

In depth description: Palm Reading for Beginners: Find Your Future in the Palm of Your Hand
Palmistry, the art of reading palms, is one of the oldest of the occult arts. How old? There are imprints of palms in the innermost parts of the Santander Caves in Spain, showing how important hands were to people in that area during the Stone Age. Current theories of palmistry go back over 2500 years. At that time, Aristotle wrote a book on palmistry for Alexander the Great. There is nothing in that book that a modern day palmist would dispute.
One of the great things about learning palmistry is that you don't need any external tools no crystal balls, no cards, no books with calculations or computers. All you need is your knowledge and a person's hand.
If you have ever wondered about palmistry and wanted to learn its secrets, you should get Palm Reading for Beginners by Richard Webster. This book will give you the basic grounding and information you need to read palms.
Actually, calling it "palm reading" is a misnomer. In actuality, you read everything from the wrist to the finger tips. This book covers it all. It begins by looking at the entire hand, including the meaning of the color of the hand, the the shape of the palm, the shape of the fingers, skin texture, and even the flexibility of the palm. Next it looks at the four major lines on the hand. The heart line gives a clear picture of your emotional and love life. The head line reveals how you think. The life line shows how much you enjoy life and how passionate you are about life. The destiny line gives a sense of purpose in your life. The interplay of these four lines shows exactly how you are using your emotional, mental, and physical senses.
The book has fifty illustrations to make everything clear. For example you'll see where the sister line also known as the line of Mars, worry lines, and protective squares are, and you can check the text to see what they indicate.
One of the most difficult things in palmistry is figuring out when predicted future events are liable to occur. This book will teach you how to figure out the timing with amazing accuracy. It also shows you where to find all of the minor lines and how to interpret them.
You will also learn how to interpret the fingers, the nine areas on the palm known as the mounts, and various marks on the hand. Finally, Webster shows you how to put it all together to give an in-depth reading.
This book assumes nothing. That is, it doesn't assume you know anything about palmistry. It explains everything in a way you can understand and quickly make into one of your best psychic reading techniques. It even includes a list of more than fifty books you can study to add to your knowledge of palmistry. For learning how to read palms, this is the place to start.
