Stuart Houghton sealing wax is manufactured in Great Britian.
It is available in 3 traditional colors: gold, silver, and red. Sticks measure 0.5 inches x 4 inches.
Stuart Houghton traditional candle style sealing wax is one of the the highest quality mailable wax we have found on the market.
It holds itself wonderfully. Not a crack or separation from the envelope to be found!
These waxes are durable and very easy to use.
Stuart Houghton sealing waxes have a flexing agent which allows for successful mailings.
You should be able to make approximately 15 seals from one stick of our sealing wax candles.
Directions:
1. Light the wick and hold the wax stick at a slight angle (lit end down).
2. Holding the stick over the area where you wish to make your seal, let the wax flow onto your project until you have enough wax to press your seal into - 10-15 seconds of melting the wax should produce enough for an average 0.25 inch diameter seal.
3. Emboss with your seal and lift straight up.
If you find the wax won't let go of the seal, simply let your seal rest on the wax until the wax is completely cool, then lift your seal off.
You can also use highlighting ink on your seal prior to embossing to help the wax release the seal, as well as creating a dimensional look on your seal.
