Paganism
Emerges in the "Bible Belt"
--VIDEO DESCRIPTION--
"March
on Fort God" is a compelling documentary of the actual occurrences
that took place in the Summer of 1993 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. It is a chilling
tale of Paganism emerging in the 'Bible Belt' in the midst of the nearby West
Memphis brutal murders of three young boys.
There had been tales of satanic ritual style murders flowing in the air. The NE Arkansas area was on fire. Fear was running rampant and the boogeyman was on the prowl.
The victim's families were outraged and immediately got involved. The public
quickly spread rumors of Satanism and the occult in their area. Their children
were in great danger! No one was safe...
All of this in a predominately Christian community that was tucked away in the comfort of normal every day life in a small southern community. Now, citizens awake to newspaper headlines that tell of a local businessman that practiced witchcraft and actually opened an occult shop.
The businessman's name was Terry Riley, a local born and raised Arkansan who practiced his Wiccan faith in the confines of his home. He decided, due to the need for traditional tools, books and other items used in his faith, there was a need for an occult shop. Apparently, there were more Pagans in the area that had not been in the publics eye until the time of the opening of the shop.
The idea of witchcraft in the community threw everyone into shock and dismay. "We want our children Safe!!!" preached Ministers of local churches and began to tell of Satan being loose in their
midst. This was the work of the underworld and they were not going to sit by
and watch as these offenders of the Christian faith overran their community.
The landlord of the building that rented to the occult shop owner was thrown
into a power struggle between the ministers and the businessman. Who was right,
the businessman who rented a shop to conduct a legal business, or the local ministers and their ranting of Satans power?
Rev. Terry Riley "High Priest of the Southern Delta Church of Wicca"
narrates this documentary as he walks us through the events in his life as they happened.
Ben Alexander - "Exposing Satans Power Ministries" conducts a local
Christian educational seminar and tells the parishioners of Demons, Witchcraft and Satanism.
Kerr Cuhulain - Nationally recognized author and authority of the occult, A Vancouver British Columbia Police officer and High Priest in the Wiccan religion, conducts seminars to the local police authorities as well as the public about misinformation and urban myths of the occult.
Dr. Robin Anderson - Associate professor of history at Arkansas State University was called in for multiple interviews by local television news anchors for a week long special on the occult and Satanism.
Pagans and support flow in from all across the nation and converge on to this
sleepy little town for what is now referred to as "The March on Fort God"
Watch as the events unfold before your eyes. Did this really happen in modern 1993? Is Salem being revisited? Was The Great Jonesboro Witch Hunt actually occurring? How could a recognized religion by the United States government actually be so persecuted?
Did the Christians win? Did the Pagans win? You be the judge...
