Honey Cough Syrup
1 tbsp each licorice root, marshmallow root, and plantain leaf
1 tsp thyme leaf
1 pint water
4 tbsp honey
4 ounces glycerin
Simmer the herbs in the water for 10 minutes. Steep for an additional 20 minutes. Strain, then add the honey and glycerin while it is still warm. Put it in a glass bottle with a lid. Take 1 tablespoon at a time. Store in the refrigerator. It will keep for several months.
