The base of the hurricane lamp is made of metal and has a beautiful highly polished silver finish that highlights the entire globe with or without a candle burning inside.

The candle is placed into the center of the purple glass globe and lit, and the light shines through the cut out design of the crescent moon on the side of the purple glass globe. You can see the crescent moon and fairy as it is cast outwardly into the room while the flame of the candle dances inside the globe.

Fairy Purple Hurricane Lamp is a two piece set. The top is a purple glass globe and the bottom a polished silver metal base.

The glass globe measures approximately 4 inches in diameter at its widest point x 5.5 inches tall. The polished silver base measures approximately 3 in diameter x 2.5 inches tall.

The ornate silver crescent moon on the side of the glass globe is concave to match the round globe, and it measures approximately 3 inches in diameter.

The overall height of this fantastic two piece hurricane lamp is 8 inches.
