Nancy Brown moved to Washington State in 1970, when she was 19 years old, and met Michael (Mick) Brown, who soon became her husband. They were married in 1971. The following year they were blessed with their first child, Amy, and by 1978 they had also welcomed Justin and Molly into the family. They raised their children in Browns Point, Washington, just outside of Tacoma, in Mick's old family homestead on Commencement Bay. Nancy has always had an interest in metaphysics and began studying it seriously in the '70s. In the early 1980s she began doing card readings and spiritual counseling professionally. She also did numerology charts and later on was trained as a hypnotherapist.
Some years later, she began to study Kabala. She describes herself as a homebody and loves to spend her time puttering in the garden, quilting, and writing. She began working on the Amy Brown Faery Wisdom Deck several years ago. She would do a little work on the cards now and again, and finally, a year ago, she got serious and finished the complete deck. It was a labor of love and lots of fun! She is grateful to her daughter Amy for allowing her to use her lovely paintings as the vehicle and inspiration for this card deck. Her greatest joy in life are family and friends and the anticipation of meeting new friends.
