Eucalyptus is a large, fast growing evergreen trees which grow to considerable heights in warm climates. Many have round young foliage and the adult leaves are narrow and pointed. They are blue gray, and fluffy cream colored flowers bloom in the summer followed by round fruits. The oil used for many medical remedies comes from the adult leaves.

Externally, Eucalyptus leaves can be used fresh or dried for a number of ailments. The oil can be used as an inhalant for congestion. Essential oil added to carrier oil makes a great massage oil for aches, pains, bruises, sprains, or even rubbed on the chest for coughs. The oil mixed with water can be spritzed on garden plants for and insect repellent.

muslin bag
equal parts of eucalyptus, peppermint, sage, rosemary
¼ cup sea salt
Put all in muslin bag. Hang it below running bath water. Then let it float in the bathtub.
