Our crystal balls are made of reconstituted quartz crystal. Reconstituted means it is pure quartz that is ground, heated and then reformed into a sphere shape.
For novices a 3 inch crystal ball is a good size. More experienced readers usually prefer the 4 to 5 inch sizes as they are easier on the eyes and provide a larger viewing area on which to project images. We don't recommend spheres smaller than 2 inch for crystal gazing.
When you purchase a crystal ball the first thing that you should do is clean it. Use a soft cloth and any non-abrasive, mild soap. Most dish washing liquids are fine for this. Gently scrub the crystal and dry with a soft cloth.
