The tapestry design is that of an intricate Celtic knotwork border surrounding a detailed design of the Chalice Well of Glastonbury in the center. The color of the fabric is a multi-shade background consisting of hues of red. Its intricate design has been silk screened onto the fabric in black.
The Chalice Well Tapestry image is a replication of the design that graces the cover of the Chalice Well at Glastonbury, designed in the nineteenth century by archaeologist Bligh Bond. The original well is crafted of wrought iron and wood, it depicts the Vesica Pisces, a symbol of the divine feminine, and Excalibur, the sword of the legendary King Arthur, who is believed by some to be buried at Glastonbury.

There are varying styles of Celtic knotwork intertwined and interlaced with leaf clumps creating a perfect knotwork border.
