The celtic sun ring is a beautiful sterling silver ring with cut out design.
The rings body is a nice small band, and it measures approximately 0.125 inches or 3.175mm in width. The band has inverted triquetras on either side of the rings face on the band in a high polish sterling silver finish.
The face of the ring is a nice free flowing cutout style with inlay that is overlapping off of the band on either side. The rings face measures approximately 0.4375 inches or 11.1125mm in diameter.
The rings face is made up of two components which are a celtic sun with smiling face, and a crescent moon to the left side as you look at the ring. To further enhance the sun within the rings face, it has been cut out, to reveal the skin of the finger below the sterling silver which give an added 3D appearance to the sun component.
The crescent moon has an enhanced effect due to the use of the inlaid moonstone, and thick sterling silver edging. The moonstones measures approximately 0.0625 inches or 1.5875mm x 0.375 inches 9.525mm and it is curved much line the crescent moon itself.
The overall finish is a high polished sterling silver that really shines in the sun. This is a nicely done design with a combination of celtic symbolism, cut outs and creative use of the moonstone.
This is a nice ring, highly detailed with lots of intricate work.
